… may be interested to know that she is writing a book based partially on the speech and Q&A she gave us. If you would like a copy you can back the kickstarter here.
The amount being asked for the Kickstarter is symbolic — £1,008 is the fee for UK citizenship *after* you’ve already passed the so-called citizenship test and paid thousands in visas, which Holly has. I’ve gone for the signed copy, myself.
Those of you who couldn’t make the AGM, I can promise you a good read if you buy the book. Holly is a great, engaging writer, and certainly has interesting things to say (as those who did make the AGM can attest).
We have a few upcoming events this week. On Saturday we will be out campaigning in Elland to get David Hardy elected back onto Calderdale Council, and to get our Prospective Parliamentary Candidate Alisdair Calder McGregor into Westminster. We will be meeting in Town Hall Street Car park, Elland at 11am and we welcome anyone to come along and get involved.
Secondly next Friday 17th October we have a Policy Working Group meeting at 7pm. This meeting is for members only, and is a chance for our members to help set the policy that governs and steers us as a local party. At this meeting there will be a particular focus on preparing motions for our regional conference. The Policy Working Group is taking place in at Alisdair’s McGregor’s flat in Hebden Bridge. Please call him on 07936 697 876 if you require further details or directions.
